Light Journals are a series of small works taking inspiration from the early dawn light around the summer solstice. Working on a daily basis, with a limited palette within the constraints of the grid, these works are somewhat intuitive responses to the early hours of the day. The canvas remnants offer loose threads, stains and marks that contribute to the impulsive nature of the work.
