"The endless possibilities of the grid."

The grid is a way to filter the many ideas and inspirations in my head on to the canvas. The structure of the parameters of the grid became freeing as colour, texture, surface and balance (all the good things about painting!) came to the forefront. The painting is equally about an inspired idea as it is about the exploration of the medium used to create it.
